$50 Million Secondary Transaction

This lucrative exit was part of a larger $50 million secondary transaction led by Dharana Capital, a spin-off from Vy Capital. As a result of this deal, Dharana Capital’s Vamsi Duvvuri will join Urban Company’s board as a non-executive director. Titan Capital has a history of successful investments, with multiple other portfolio companies delivering returns of over 100 times. In 2015, the couple made a small investment of Rs 57 lakh in the at-home services platform through their investment firm Titan Capital. Notably, the firm has made full exits from Ola Cabs and part exits from Credgenics, while continuing to hold shares in OfBusiness.

Urban Company

The money received from the sale of the Urban Company will be used to help emerging businesses and promote the expansion of the Indian startup scene. Titan Capital has supported more than 300 firms to date and is still actively involved in angel financing. With its growth trajectory, Urban Company is expected to turn a profit in the next fiscal year. The business is anticipated to turn a profit in FY25 after reporting a notable 45% increase in revenue in FY23. This successful exit underlines the potential for substantial returns in the Indian startup ecosystem and highlights the strategic acumen of investors like Titan Capital
