Narendra Modi Takes Oath for Third Term with 30 Cabinet Ministers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sworn in today for a record third term, equalling the achievement of Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister. The oath-taking ceremony, held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, was attended by thousands, including dignitaries and leaders from South Asia. Modi, dressed in a white kurta and blue waistcoat, was followed by his top BJP aides Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, and Nitin Gadkari in taking the oath.

The event was significant not only for its scale but also for the presence of prominent leaders from Bangladesh, the Maldives, and Sri Lanka. However, notable absences included top leaders from China and Pakistan.

The new government comprises 30 Cabinet Ministers, 5 Ministers of State with Independent Charge, and 36 Ministers of State. This diverse team is expected to spearhead the country’s progress over the next five years.

Cabinet Ministers

1. Rajnath Singh Rajnath Singh, a senior BJP leader, took the oath immediately after PM Modi. Known for his experience and leadership, Singh continues to play a pivotal role in the government’s functioning.
