China has strongly criticized the recent G7 Leaders’ Communique, labeling it as a political instrument aimed at perpetuating US and Western supremacy on the global stage. The Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson denounced the statements made by the G7, accusing them of using China-related issues to attack and vilify the nation without factual basis.
In response to media queries, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian condemned the G7’s remarks as biased and baseless. According to Jian, the G7’s assertions reflect a deliberate effort to maintain dominance in global affairs, sidelining other perspectives and countries, including China.
“The G7 Leaders’ Communique once again utilizes China-related matters as a pretext to vilify and attack China. These accusations lack factual, legal, or moral grounds and are filled with arrogance, bias, and falsehood,” remarked Lin Jian during a press briefing.
Criticism extended beyond the content of the Communique to the composition and relevance of the G7 itself. Lin Jian highlighted that the G7 represents only a fraction of the world’s population and contributes minimally to global economic growth compared to China. He argued that the group has strayed from its original economic coordination objectives to become a tool for political agendas that favor US and Western interests.
“The G7 has moved away from its original purpose of economic stability coordination and has increasingly become a political tool to enforce US and Western hegemony,” Lin Jian asserted, underscoring China’s perception of the group’s declining international influence and credibility.
The Chinese spokesperson further lambasted the G7’s stance on global peace and security, criticizing their military maneuvers and interventions in various regions. Jian accused the G7 of exacerbating international tensions by creating exclusive alliances based on ideological differences rather than fostering inclusive global cooperation.
